Yorkshire Village - Postal Service (Mail Carrier Delivery Mix-ups)

As many of our homeowners may already be aware, our wonderful, regular mail carrier, Jeff, is no longer with USPS. Unfortunately, there still doesn't seem to be a regular replacement for Yorkshire Village and, as a result, some of the various mail carriers seem to be mixing up and delivering mail to the wrong addresses for many of our homeowners (this was an issue a while back when Jeff was on vacation). As aggravating as it may be, it happens. However, if you find your mail consistently affected, we recommend reaching out directly to USPS.


All feedback or complaints with the mail carriers/delivery service should be directed to the local US Postal Office - click HERE.


In the meantime, we want to share again some reminders. If you have received someone else's mail by mistake, PLEASE be kind enough to forward it to the correct homeowner as soon as possible, as you would likely ask for the same courtesy.


You can:

  • Hand deliver it directly to your neighbor's mailbox or door

  • Hand deliver it directly back to the mail carrier

  • Place it back in your mailbox (if you can, write "deliver to correct addresss") and raise the mailbox's red flag up so the mail carrier knows to pick it up

  • If it is a larger package and you cannot do any of the above, you can notify the HOA via the comment box on the Yorkshire Village website's homepage; be sure to include the name and address of the homeowner who needs to retrieve the mail.
