Overgrown Township Trees & Tree Suckers Along The Curbs

Hello, Yorkshire Village!

Just a reminder: if you have a curb-line tree in front of your home that is overgrown, please call the Lawrence Township Department of Public Works as they are responsible for maintaining these trees.  This would also include tree suckers (miniature tree-looking shoots that sprout from your tree's trunk) - see photos above. TMK Management has reported this to the Dept.'s director, however, the township tends to respond in a more timely manner when the homeowner reaches out directly. Unfortunately, many of the tree suckers are getting very large and beginning to obstruct the sidewalks for pedestrians, forcing them to walk in the street.

The number for the Public Works Department is 609-587-1894, or email Greg Whitehead (director) at gwhitehead@lawrencetwp.com.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!
