Lawrence Township Reminders and News for the Upcoming Week of January 15, 2018

Municipal Offices are closed on Monday, January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King's Birthday.

Trash and recycling WILL BE collected on Monday, January 15.

REMINDER: The 56th Annual Reenactment is being held this weekend - The Delaying Tactics of Colonel Edward Hand is taking place this Saturday, January 13 at 10:00 a.m. Click here for more information.

2018 Lawrence Township Calendars

Township calendars are available and can be picked up at any office in the Municipal Building, Public Works Building and the Senior Center. You can also find it on-line on the home page of the Township website.

Flu Clinic - Lawrence Township Health Department is holding another flu clinic on Wednseday, January 17, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Lower Level Conference Room at Town Hall. Click here for details.

January is Dog License Renewal Notice - All dogs seven months and older must be licensed. Please click here for the dog licensing application. If you have any questions or need more information, please call the Clerk's Office at 609-844-7000.

Rabies Clinic - The Lawrence Township Health Department is holding a free rabies clinic on Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. It will be held at the National Guard Armory on Eggert Crossing Road. Road Work

  • Bakers Basin Road - Mercer County will begin bridge repair work on Basin Road. In preparation of this, PSE&G is doing utility work. Please click here for further information.

  • The Route #1 construction project is moving along. The circle is now open at Route #1 and Whitehead Road. The construction project is still ongoing - please continue to use caution in this area.

Leaf Collection & Brush Pick Up

  • Remember Leaf Collection is completed now.

  • As of January 1, Public Works has resumed regular brush pick-up. Yorkshire Village is Zone 1 (see here).

  • Brush must NOT be placed at the curb for pick-up earlier than the weekend prior to your designated pick-up week.

  • Material shall be placed in an area on the street not greater than four feet (4’) from the edge of the pavement. Trees greater than 8-inch caliper may not be disposed of through curbside collection.

  • Materials shall not be piled greater than three (3’) in height. Christmas trees will be collected during the regular Zone pick-up.

  • Once the truck has collected your street, they will not return until the next month’s collection.
